The Resilient South region covers around 28% of metropolitan Adelaide and is home to more than 360,000 residents. Our region includes more than 50km of coastline, as well as foothills and urban areas.
Resilient South is a partnership between state and local government organisations in southern Adelaide including:
We have worked collaboratively for many years to get on the front foot with climate change and we regularly work with agencies and organisations from all level of government, NGOs, community groups and the private sector.
Southern Adelaide is awesome and we love living here. That's why we want to protect it from the impacts from climate change and make sure our region can remain productive, vibrant and resilient.
We are getting climate ready and we'd love you to join us!
Resilient South is one of several Regional Climate Partnerships established to deliver practical action to strengthen the climate resilience of their communities, economies and natural and built environments.
Resilient South is coordinated by a Program Management Committee who meet regularly to work on shared regional projects, swap knowledge and ideas, and ensure that southern Adelaide has a coordinated and strategic approach to climate action.
We are fortunate to be supported by hard-working colleagues from across our partner organisations, and we also regularly collaborate with other south Australian regions, organisations from across Australia and local community groups to make sure that our work is aligned with community needs, leading research and best practice.
More information about climate partnerships, in-depth information about climate change, ways of adapting and resilience building can be found at the LGA SA Resource Hub.
